Standards watch · Five entries
This section tracks documents, not opinions. An entry appears when a standard is published, revised or replaced, or when a regulation with packaging consequences reaches its application date.
Each entry states what the document says in its own terms, gives the number, the publication date and the application date as published, and links the issuing body so the text can be checked. Where a document does not say something that buyers commonly assume it says, the entry says so.
The section starts with five entries. None of them is about a product on this site, and none of them should be read as a compliance statement about one.

A replacement for the woodpulp spunlace standard is published, with an application date of 1 August 2027
GB/T 26379-2026 wholly replaces the 2011 edition. A specification sheet citing the old edition has a known end date, and a tender written to run past it needs an answer now.
The standard that defines a dry nonwoven wiping towel, and what a drafting-unit credit does and does not mean
The scope separates a dry nonwoven towel from a wet wipe and from a paper towel. Being named in the drafting record is public record of participation, not a product approval.

The towel is not packaging. The poly bag around it and the carton it ships in are. The role definitions, not the product, decide who carries the obligations.

Some parts are new editions, some are still the 2000s text, and a specification that cites a withdrawn edition is citing a withdrawn edition however current the product is.

T/CNITA 09115-2025 is listed as current. This entry records what the catalogue shows and says plainly what has not been read, which is the technical content itself.
Method
An entry records four things: what was issued and by whom, which dates are published, which part of the scope bears on a disposable towel, and what the document does not settle. The last of those is usually the useful one, because most of the expensive misunderstandings in this trade come from reading a standard as if it were a certificate.
Every entry ends with a section headed "What this does not mean". That section is not a disclaimer bolted on for safety. It is where the honest boundary of the document sits, and it is the part to quote when someone else is quoting the standard at you.
Limits
It is not legal advice, not a compliance statement about any product, and not a substitute for reading the document itself. A standard can be current and still not apply to your item; a regulation can apply and still leave the roles of supplier and importer to be agreed in the contract. Where an entry could not verify a figure, it says so rather than estimating.
Entries cite the issuing body — the national standards platform, the European Commission, the ISO catalogue. Where a secondary source was used to locate a document, the entry links the primary document instead of the secondary one.
